Portfolio: tracking shares, purchases, sales and dividends
The portfolio automatically calculates the value of your shares, the dividends received and the profit from sales, using current prices and the payment history.
How to add a stock
On the Portfolio page press "+ Add stock", find the company and enter the quantity, price and purchase date.
If this stock is already in the portfolio, the quantity will be added and the average price recalculated.
The quantity will decrease (no more than you hold), the average price will not change. Sell everything and the position will leave the portfolio.
What the columns mean
- Average purchase price per share in the position and its currency. With several purchases the price is weighted: total of all purchases ÷ number of shares (without fees).
- Date of the first purchase. Received dividends are counted from it: a dividend is credited if you held the shares before the ex-date.
- Current value of the position: quantity × current price (in the purchase currency at the current rate). Below in grey — the purchase total: quantity × average price + fees. Next to it — profit in % and money: value − purchase total.
- Dividends received since purchase: small — the latest, then — the total. Calculated: shares held on each ex-date × dividend per share, minus the tax from the «Tax» column. Below — the same amounts as % of the purchase total.
- Dividend tax withheld from each payment (withholding tax). Filled in automatically from the company's country and your tax residence (settings) and learns from what users enter; editable with the pencil.
- Currency in which this position's dividends are shown. By default — the company's currency; if you choose another, amounts are converted at the rate on each payment date.
- Broker fees for purchases of this position (in the purchase currency). Included in the purchase total.
- Profit from the sale: received − invested, in the purchase currency; below — as % of invested.
- Result of the whole operation: profit from the sale + dividends. If the purchase and dividend currencies differ, amounts are shown separately per currency without conversion; % — combined.
